Marital counseling, premarital counseling and individual counseling clients are seen in my Seattle office between 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Individual counseling appointments last 1 hour, except for the initial assessment appointment, which is 1.5 hours. (Note: When I schedule an hour, I give you a full 60-minute hour, not the 50-minute hour that most other marriage counselors give.)

Relationship counseling appointments are either 1 hour or 1.5 hours, depending on your needs. In the Rock Solid Marital Counseling Program, the joint appointments are 1 hour and 15 minutes and the individual appointments are 1 hour.

Fees for individual and relationship counseling are $110.00 per hour, payable at the end of each session.

The Honeymoon Toolkit™ Premarital Counseling Package is $600.00 for 6 hours, payable at the first appointment. The package saves you $60.00 off regular fees. This is my way of encouraging new couples to get off to a good start!

The Rock Solid 12-Week Marriage Counseling Program is $665.00 per month.

Whether your insurance company will pay for your individual or relationship counseling depends on your plan guidelines and the reasons for counseling. It’s possible that your plan includes provisions for individual and/or marriage counselors, but may not cover their services for your particular situation. For example, some insurance companies, such as Regence, will not pay for marriage counselors for any reason, or will not cover out-of-network providers.

I am a preferred provider for Premera Blue Cross. If your counseling sessions are covered by Premera, I will bill the company directly. You may owe a co-pay at the time of your appointment.

If you are covered by another insurance company, you will need to pay for your individual, premarital or marital counseling sessions at the time of service. I will be glad to do the paperwork, so your company will reimburse you for your expenses.
